Compensation: Based on previous experience and skills. Discretionary bonus based on personal and general business performance.

We believe blockchain based digital currencies have the potential to solve some of the world’s most important problems such as financial inclusion, protection, privacy and freedom. With Cryptorefills we are on a mission to bring blockchain based payments into everyday life and accelerate mass adoption of cryptocurrency (bitcoin or other digital currency yet to come).

Access to crypto investments, trading and person-to-person transactions, is relatively easy today. However, this only serves a limited scope of needs for these currencies. Using cryptocurrencies in everyday life, such as for buying goods and services is instead very limited.

Cryptorefills is a website and Android app offering users in over 235 countries and territories the possibility to use their bitcoin and crypto to make everyday purchases. With Cryptorefills, users spend different cryptocurrencies to top up their phone credit across 600 Mobile Operators, pay their utility bills, subscribe to their favorite entertainment services (Netflix, Spotify, Google Play, iTunes), purchase from top e-commerce brands (Amazon, Bol) shop at retail stores (Walmart) and even travel, buy fuel and pay restaurant bills.

We are one of the most innovative companies in the blockchain payment space. We are the first company in the world to ever introduce layer 2 Ethereum (via Polygon) and scalability blockchain (via Avalanche) payments within an ecommerce context.

CryptoRefills is a fast growing fintech, headquartered in Amsterdam, with a local presence in Milano and Izmir.

Your Role

As a Product Manager you will be responsible for our gift card, mobile credit and other products and services offered on the CryptoRefills website and apps.

Your first goal is to drive sales by increasing number of products available on our catalogue, geographic coverage, and overall quality of our catalogue. Your second goal is to maximize profitability and margins of our global offer.  

To achieve your goals, you will be sourcing our gift cards, mobile credit and other product catalogue and managing the negotiations and relationship with our current suppliers as well as scouting for new suppliers. You will also be optimizing the procurement costs and defining the sales pricing policies.

This is both an analytical and relational role. You will be required to analyse offers, pricing structures and key performance indicators in depth and use this information to define commercial terms with suppliers and to manage our global pricing policy. At the same time, you will be reaching out to new suppliers, maintaining good relationships and resolving problems with our current partners, and developing and negotiating special promotions and comarketing activities with our top merchants. Your role will require you to coordinate with all areas of the CryptoRefills team, including marketing, customer care, tech and finance / legal. 

Your Activity

  • Define a quarterly product and catalogue expansion plan based on sales and profit targets as well as other strategic goals of the company.
  • Scout for gift card, mobile credit, utility services and other new products suppliers to improve our brands, product and geographic coverage and improve overall margins.
  • Negotiate offers and other contractual terms with new suppliers and merchant partners.
  • Manage the new supplier launch, including the brand approval process with suppliers, collecting technical documentation and other product requirements. Coordinate with the partner and the rest of CryptoRefills team for the integration, tests and launch.
  • Manage the relationship with the suppliers and with merchants. Develop relationships with the brands for comarketing opportunities. Coordinate with our marketing team for special brand promotions.
  • Analyse competitors pricing strategies, analyse sales data and KPIs. Define global pricing policies and new product strategies based on data. Consistently optimize the products pricing, discount and promo policies.
  • Manage how brands and products are displayed on our catalogue, by providing inputs on product descriptions, localization requirements, brand identity requirements and design and style requirements.
  • Provide UX inputs for the tech team, in terms of catalogue display requirements, merchant approval requirements, and other UX / UI needs.

 

This is a WFH (Work From Home) role. Once we reopen our offices we may allow full WFH or partial WFH depending on your responsibilities and other considerations to be made together in the future.

Your Profile

These are mandatory requirements

  • You are genuinely passionate about crypto and the blockchain industry.
  • You have very good analytical and quantitative skills. You enjoy working on spreadsheets, making deep data analysis. You are careful to detail, but also pragmatic, you investigate data in search of optimizations that can actually make a difference in terms of performance.
  • You are goal oriented; you can identify priorities clearly, you are aware of what tasks and what problems solved will allow you and the company reach the goals planned.
  • You have good record keeping, data synthesis and communication skills. You can prepare detailed analyses that serve as decision-making tools for you and for the rest of the team. You take pride in sharing your analyses proactively with the rest of the team, and presenting your main findings in a synthetic and comprehensible way.
  • You feel comfortable in developing and nurturing business relationships. You enjoy starting relationships from scratch, reaching out to people to request offers, negotiating deals and communicating frequently with our partners.
  • If you don’t have a developer background, you are a fast learner. You are not scared of technical words like “API” and to understand the basic technical concepts behind the integrations between us and our partners and how our platform operates.
  • You either have 2 – 5 years prior work experience in the gift card industry, in product procurement or sales and business development, or you can prove that you are up to the job, by providing other relevant experience or skills (e.g. entrepreneurship, finance, consulting, personal attitude, and other).
  • Your English both written and spoken is fluent. Mother tongue is preferred. Other languages are also a bonus.
  • You have good standing; you are professional and confident in interacting even with the highest management levels of our suppliers and partners.
  • You are proactive. You are not waiting for the management or the rest of the team to tell you what to do or who to get in touch with. You are continuously on the lookout for new partnership ideas.
  • You like team work and are a good communicator. You can communicate clearly with other team members so everyone is aligned, you are there for your colleagues when they need your help.
